Our Reception/Office Staff

Meet the staff...

Alison Maitland

OFFICE MANAGER

I joined Braid Vets as a receptionist in July 2006, after graduating from Heriot Watt with an MA in Management with Business Law, and in June 2008 took on the role of Office Manager. In my spare time I look after my 4 horses, 2 sheep and various other four-legged friends, and also make my own made-to-measure collars, leads and harnesses.

Sara Bakwena

ASSISTANT PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR

After working within the Hospitality Industry for a short period, I decided to opt for a career change and a new challenge. I joined Braid Vets in January 1999 and worked as full-time receptionist for 7 and a half year. As the needs of the business have changed, so has my role within the practice. I now work in our small, but busy office as an Assistant Practice Administrator. My sapre time is spent looking after my young daughter.

Kate Ramsay

Tracy Dinnell RVN

NURSE RECEPTIONIST

I qualified as a VN in 1997. Over the years my role in the practice has changed, from Kennel Assistant, full-time VN, to part-time VN. In 2007 I became a Nurse Receptionist, and am now in charge of the practice website, the newsletter, all insurance claims and am also an A1 Assessor for Student Veterinary Nurses. My spare time is spent with my family.

Penny

BRAID OFFICE PET

I joined Braid Vets in November 2007 after being brought into the Emergency Service as a stray with Road Traffic Accident injuries. After treating me, and fixing my fractured leg, Braid Vets decided to keep me as their office pet, and I spend my time sleeping and eating.
