To get to Braid Veterinary Hospital, Mayfield Road

From the West

Take the M8 to the Newbridge roundabout, then the A8 to the Gogar roundabout. Then take the city by-pass to loop round the city as far as the Straiton junction (approx 8 miles from Gogar).

Head for the city centre and go through two sets of traffic lights (not pelican crossings). At the third set of traffic lights, at the bottom of Liberton Brae, take the left fork immediately ahead of you.

This is Mayfield Road. Go up the hill and at the first set of traffic lights (fourth from the by-pass) move to the outside lane and indicate right. We are immediately before the junction (the second last building before the turn).

From the North

Come over the Forth Road Bridge and at the Barnton roundabout take the road to the Airport (Maybury Road). At the Maybury roundabout, head away from the city for 200 yards to the Gogar roundabout. Take the city by-pass and continue as for the West approach.

From the South or East

Arriving via the A1, take the city by-pass and leave at the Straiton junction. Continue as for the West approach.

Arriving via the A702 (Biggar and the M6/A74), take the city by-pass to the East just after the Hillend ski slope, then leave at the first (Straiton) junction and continue as for the West approach.
